Scrapbooking Ideas – Creating a Snowy Scrapbook
Impossible? Not really. Although snow cannot possibly be preserved in a scrapbook as surely, it will only melt and ruin your pages but it definitely doesn’t mean snow should be left out of the Christmas scrapbooking ideas, in fact, giving a scrapbook the snow effect can be done in quite a few ways.
Puncher
The easiest way to create snow in your scrapbook is to use a puncher. Simply punch holes in a white board paper and glue the dots randomly across your page. If you have a snowflake puncher, all the better, as this adds a neatness and a more emphasized detailing on the snow.
Blue Chalk
With a light blue board or cardstock, rub blue chalk on random parts of the paper. Don’t rub too hard as this may cause a real blue line on the background. Instead, roll the chalk lightly around some spaces and then mead with the forefinger. Top with glitter for a shining, shimmering effect.
Cotton
Cotton balls are one of the most commonly used scrapbooking ideas to give a snowy effect. The good thing about cotton is that you can paste centerpieces such as sequins or tiny buttons to give maximum highlight to the “snow”.
Styrofoam
Also a commonly used snowy material, Styrofoam can be easily threaded and pasted with light glue. Although a little messy, using Styrofoam is one of the most used up scrapbooking ideas for a snowy scrapbook background because it is easy to adhere on paper and requires less effort.
