Scrapbooking Ideas For Your Toddler
Scrapbooking is a wonderful way to relax and treasure memories. Once pages and books are done it becomes a fantastic way to casually show off your children’s many accomplishments and share the joys of past Christmas’s, birthdays and other holidays.
My favorite time to scrapbook is when my kids are young. No one can look at a baby at say they aren’t adorable. Plus after having a new baby most mothers are camera-holics. I know I took over 1000 pictures of my son in the first 2 months alone. Of course, I didn’t get all of these developed but it sure left a lot of choices for me to pick when I wanted to start scrapbooking.
In fact, I had some many scrapbooking ideas running through my head that with just the first year of my sons life I could have made 80-90 pages. However, that would soon become overwhelming so I made a goal to create one page each month for each child. This goal has been easily accomplished and I have come out with some very creative and unique pages.
For instance, my son became a fanatic climber when he was 13 months old. I have 80-90 pictures over 3 months of him climbing up various items. So I took a few of my favorite pictures and I pasted them on a brown sheet of scrapbooking paper. Then I took some green paper and cut out some vines and pasted them around the pictures and made a few look like he was climbing or swinging on the vines. Then I added a little monkey in the corner.
My husband grew out a belt when my son was about 11 months old so he latched it together and let our son play with it. At this same time he became very interest in the vacuum and would start carrying around the vacuum stick and at the same time he would put this belt over his shoulder like a sash. It would look like he was wearing a sash and holding a sword. So I took some of those picture and pasted them to a page and then put the phrase “All For One and One For All” on the page. I know he wasn’t three people but it still turned out rather cute.
